Stanford's recent improvement continued at Thames with 2 good wins. Strong running, good support play and improved tagging were the main contributers to success. Stanford took to the field for the first time without an on-field coach and organised their own defence and attacking formations. Well done to Ben and Jack for their mature approach in leading the organisation.
THAMES 20 STANFORD 40
Try scorers: Jack Knight 3, Ben Kelly 2, Vinny Gordon 2 and Zack Burdett.
THAMES 30 STANFORD 65

This week's parent's player of the week was Marcus Edgeway whose 3 tries in the first half of the second match were outstanding.

THAMES 0 STANFORD 70
On a glorious Sunday morning the under 10's travelled to new-comers Thames.
From the very first whistle the Stanford boys dominated a very one sided game and just kept on scoring! What was good to see was the way the forwards and backs won great ball and with some well drilled moves played some superb rugby. The team played unselfishly with every player contributing to a well deserved win.
Scorers: Daniel McAllister 2, Aiden Cronin, Christian Wood 2, Charlie Downes 2, Nico Pike, Sam Moran, Jamie Gray, Robin Hughes 2, Callum Jones, Jack Ervin.
THAMES 0 STANFORD 45
After a fantastic first game the boys struggled to get going, partly down to a couple of Thames players picking up nasty injuries. The boys won the game with brute force rather than rugby skills but still put up a pleasing performance. At times the boys played and moved the ball so well but just lacked that final pass.
Scorers:- Jack Ervin, Sam Moran, Callum Jones, Aidan Cronin, Albert Aldham, William Ryan, Nico Pike, Robin Hughes, Robert Smith.
