CHINGFORD 49 STANFORD 7

Despite the scoreline, the coaches were proud of the team's performance against a very good Chingford side. Stanford's defence was found wanting, but the effort put in by the players, especially in the second half could not be faulted.

Try scorer: Louis Webb

CHINGFORD 28 STANFORD 0

Stanford's effort levels were high in this encounter and they were unlucky not to score on several occasions, in an improved display against one of the best sides in the region at this age group.

UNDER 12

CHINGFORD 0 STANFORD 65

This game consisted of 4 x 15 minute quarters and as the score line suggests Stanford overwhelmed their plucky opponents. The pitch was very narrow so Stanford had to adjust from their normal expansive style to a more forwards orientated game. Stanford's forwards had a great day dominating every aspect of ruck, maul and set play and then they released the backs who with limited space created gaps with lovely ball skills and good lines of running.

Chingford were no pushover and continued to tackle hard and tried to pressure the visitors, but after a two week layoff Stanford were in no mood to rest on their laurels and ferociously put a stop to anything the home side tried to put together. One aspect in particular pleased the coaches; when the squad was rotated at each break their was very little change in performance, each player put in a very good effort and it showed in the overall performance and result.

Tries by: Musa Yusuff 2, James Kitchen 2, Sean Bunney 2, George Taylor 2, Adam Dawson, Dominic McDonald, Ryan Cronin, Sean Houlihan, Jacob Dennis.
