STANFORD 15 MALDON 15

Stanford started the first game camped in their half of the pitch through constant pressure from Maldon but due to good strong defensive work from the whole team kept them from scoring and following a turnover ball Thomas Cubitt ran in the only try of the half.

In the second half the game opened up with Maldon scoring 3 tries to Stanford's 2 which came from Clarice Frampton Webb and another from Thomas Cubitt.

STANFORD 10 MALDON 15

The second game was another evenly matched affair with Maldon going 3 tries to 1 in the first half which was scored by Callum Pluck after a selfless pass from Mark-David Ikhifa.

The second half Stanford began to get back in the game with some good off loading and supporting play resulting in a try from Thomas Cubitt. They could have drawn the game after the referee had awarded a try which was then overturned after the try scorer, Mark-David Ikhifa informed the referee that he had dropped the ball in the act of scoring.

STANFORD 10 MALDON 20

In the final game, Stanford showed much of the same determination as the previous 2 games but were unable to break Maldon's defence finishing 2 tries down at the end of the first half.

The second half was a mirror image of the first half with 2 tries from Thomas Cubitt and a further 2 from Maldon.

Player of the Day went to Mark-David Ikhifa.

Coaches would like to say that the whole team have made great improvements within the game, well done.

STANFORD 40 MALDON 0

Stanford were at their best in this match and completely overwhelmed Maldon in the first half going in at 30-0. The forwards dominated the set piece but still had room for improvement in the rucks/mauls where Maldon competed well. The backs had a much easier time and showed some good passing and support play. Tries cames from Jack Knight 2, Max Clarke 2, Callum Newton 2, Vinnie Gordon and a first club try for Sean Loughran.

STANFORD 25 MALDON 10

Stanford rested some key players in the first half and this allowed Maldon to establish themselves in the match and they were leading 10-5 at half time. However, Stanford were much better in the second half and finished the day as they started with some good running/passing attacks and scoring 4 unanswered trys. Try scorers in this game were Charlie Rooney 2, Jack Knight, Max Clarke and Callum Newton.

It was good to see the boys back playing after a month off with bad weather and it was difficult to pick a player of the day in  what was 2 good team performances. However, Vinnie Gordon once again stood out with his tackling and passing - well done Vinnie.

STANFORD 0 MALDON 20

after one month with no games or training Stanford were very slow out of the blocks going three tries down in the first half. the second half saw a more determined performance but they still went down 20-0.

STANFORD 0 MALDON 30

In the second game heads dropped and Stanford were out-classed and out-fought by a team they drew with two months ago. The upside was a superb performance by Jack Sairman, who was named Man of the Match.

STANFORD 38 MALDON 7

Stanford u12's started off the new year with two convincing wins against a strong and physical Maldon side. It was clear that Stanford's forwards were going to enjoy this game, they carried on with their impressive scrummaging. Line out's and rucking also have improved with more control around the pitch. This in turn allowed the powerful and speedy backs to shine, running in five well worked tries. With some good communication the boys maintained their positions exploiting the gaps in a struggling Maldon defense.

Try Scorers:- Sam Egar, Callum Jones, Charlie Downes 3, Nico Pike

Conversions 4.

Defensive player Charlie Downes.

STANFORD 29 MALDON 7

In the second game the redmen looked as though they had kept a clean sheet but Maldon fought hard, scoring in the last seconds of the game. Yet again the u12's made light work of a strong side, with many of the boys playing in their second choice positions.

Try Scorers:- Charlie Downes 3, Albert Aldham, Sam Moran.

Conversions 2.

Defensive player Aiden Cronin.
